1st Line Support

We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer to work within the technical Support Team at our client’s office in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and possess an understanding and experience of desktop and infrastructure technologies.

The Role:

• The main accountabilities of the role will be to support our customer’s end users and infrastructure, ensure excellent customer service and an efficient ticket lifecycle
• Provide daily onsite and remote support to users
• Analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving operating system, system hardware, application, storage, virtualization and networking issues
• Use tools to manage operating system updates, patches and configuration changes
• Performing data backup, restore requests and software and hardware upgrades. Status reporting and improvement recommendations

Skill Set:

• Must have 2+ years’ experience working in a customer-facing service desk support role, ideally an MSP
• Must have Microsoft 365 Associate Level or similar technology certifications
• Microsoft technology at administrator level, including Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365. Microsoft server product knowledge and experience such as SQL and Exchange Server
• Have used ticket logging and remote management and monitoring processes
• Have a familiarisation of basic network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) Be able to create and maintain operational support documentation

Office-based role 5 days per week Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm
