Finance Assistant

About this role

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join this small, friendly, professional team. An accounts background is essential for this busy office-based role. Ideally, you should have experience working within an accounting environment with a good working knowledge of general accounts including accounts payable and purchase ledger.

 The role

  • Assisting the finance team with general accounts
  • Process all accounts payable invoices, expenses, and payments through the accountancy system
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure the timely processing of payments
  • Run reports as and when required
  • Handle invoice queries in a professional a proactive manner
  • Bank reconciliation/cashbook reconciliations
  • Debtors control
  • Sage 50 accounts and or Xero accounting


  • Confident, personable with a courteous and friendly manner
  • Proven experience within an accounts position although would consider a graduate with some experience working within an accounting environment
  • Adaptable and a strong team player with an eye for detail
  • MS Office (Proficient in Excel)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software

Monday to Friday – 9.00 – 5.00

Will support further study for accountancy qualifications if desired

Close to Green Park Station: Graduate, Bookkeeper, accounts, finance, bought ledger, sales ledger, journals, Sage, Xero, reconciliation, and accounts payable.
