Key Responsibilities:

  • Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed take-offs from architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
  • Valuations & Variations: Support customers by running projects and completing valuations and variations.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update databases, estimate files, and project documentation.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing accurate and complete bid proposals.
  • Communication: Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to gather up-to-date pricing information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating team and other departments to ensure cohesive project estimates.
  • Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to understand requirements and scope.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
