Case Handler (insurance claims)
About the job
To manage insurance claims from first advice through to settlement
Undertake a range of loss adjusting activities.
Investigate potentially fraudulent claims.
Support cargo department in an efficient and effective manner
Provide advice on making claims notifications.
Collecting accurate information and documentation to proceed with claim.
Monitor progress of claim.
Identify reasons why full payment may not be made.
Ensuring fair settlement of valid claims
Building relationships with loss adjuster, forensic accountants and solicitors, as well as other legal/claims professionals
Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company standards.
Adhering to legal requirements, industry regulations and customer quality standards
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of handling claims from start to finish
Understanding of insurance claims and relevant legal/regulatory framework
Good knowledge of MS Office
Friendly, courteous and helpful approach
Ability to work on own initiative.
